Melville National Park is closed so we headed for Lakefield National Park. The Ranger advised that camping was all booked up for the long weekend so Negotiations were necessary with the Kalpowar Station owner who won't let campers through to Princess Charlotte Bay because of previous incidents of bad behaviour by campers. He gave us permission to camp by Barramundi Creek and we found a lovely spot by the creek. Saw my first croc cage at the Rangers station. We fished last night...taking care to stay on high ground cos the station owner had warned us of a large croc in the creek. Mat caught a catfish and now he and Lindsay are having another try for our breakfast.
Later: no fish breakfast but a "one that got away story" :-)
Going to try and get phone reception today. Dying to find out if my unit has settled, should have been yesterday.
Yea it did! Had to drive quite a few km to find out so will try and post now.
